On Monday 12th February over 80 people packed into the back room at The Victoria in Old Town to watch a screening of Al Gore's film on climate change.

The event was jointly presented by SCAN and Socialist Unity, who run regular film showings at the Vic. With a good publicity drive, including a piece in the Adver, the place was so full that many people were standing and some had to be turned away. About twenty people stayed for a discussion afterwards.

If you want to see the film or know anyone who does, SCAN will be screening it again on May 13th at the Arts Centre, and Little Film Shop on Eastcott Road have put on a special offer for one month of free overnight rental of the DVD, as of Friday 16th Feb. Why not show it at your workplace, community group, church, mosque etc?
